The Trump Fascist anti-democratic regime is planning to end fair elections before 2026, the DOJ is already putting out requests to study voter rolls to find vulnerabilities that they can exploit.

The Trump Administration Is Going After Our Elections Too

Government employees have long protected the ballot from attacks. The president is preparing to fire many of them.

Per the above article:  “In its crusade against federal agencies, the Trump administration is targeting our election system, making potentially dangerous reductions to protections that help keep elections free, fair, and secure. On Friday, the acting director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency sent a memo to all agency staff notifying them that “all election security activities” would be paused pending the results of an internal investigation. The memo also stated that the administration was cutting off all funds to the Election Infrastructure Information Sharing and Analysis Center—a Department of Homeland Security–funded organization that helps state and local officials monitor, analyze, and respond to cyberattacks targeting the nation’s election hardware and software.

The work of CISA and the EI-ISAC has been central to election security in the United States for most of the past decade, providing state and local election officials with critical tools and assistance to defend against cyber and physical threats to election systems. These steps and other recent blows to federal election guardrails were foretold in Project 2025. Understanding the playbook will help us be ready to push back when the next shoes drop.

Changes to CISA began shortly after Kristi Noem was sworn in as secretary of Homeland Security, which oversees the agency. Beyond the announced election security pause and defunding of EI-ISAC, the agency also put critical election security staff on leave and targeted them for potential termination. These staff include CISA’s regional election security advisers, who are former state and local election officials that provide on-the-ground security support to current frontline election workers, and members of the agency’s Election Resilience team, who were reportedly targeted because they had previously been involved with the agency’s efforts to communicate accurate information about election security to election officials and the public.

Although state and local election officials from both sides of the aisle have praised CISA for providing such support, President Donald Trump and several other conservatives have criticized the agency ever since Trump’s first appointee to lead CISA, Christopher Krebs, promoted accurate information about the 2020 election, including that the election was secure. (The president continues to falsely claim that the 2020 election was rigged.)

According to reports, leaders at the Department of Homeland Security will decide next steps for CISA’s election security initiatives when its review is completed March 6. But given the president’s attacks on CISA’s work, it is not difficult to imagine that the administration will permanently gut the agency’s election security role, as recommended in Project 2025.

Even if CISA nominally continues to offer limited election security support, cutting its staff and deprioritizing its work may mean that the nearly 10,000 local election officials on the ground feel very little benefit from the group.

The new administration’s attacks on federal election security assistance extend beyond CISA or the EI-ISAC. Almost immediately after she was sworn in as attorney general, Pam Bondi disbanded the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force—another target of Project 2025. The task force was established during Trump’s first term, following Russian actors’ attempts to interfere in the 2016 election by hacking campaign emails, influencing public opinion through social media, and probing for cybersecurity weak points in voter registration systems. Interference from Russia and other countries continues to threaten American elections. In 2024 bomb threats that appeared to come from Russian email domains were sent to polling locations, videos tied to Russia falsely depicted election workers destroying ballots, and hackers tied to Iran successfully obtained and attempted to leak documents from the Trump campaign. Now a critical line of defense against these attacks is gone.

The Trump administration also took aim earlier this month at the Federal Election Commission, the bipartisan agency that regulates campaign finance in federal elections. Project 2025 called for a weaker FEC, arguing that the independent agency should do less to regulate political spending. In an unprecedented move, Trump tried to fire the commission’s chair. The move came just as the FEC is set to adjudicate campaign finance complaints from the 2024 election, many of which involved billionaire Elon Musk’s contributions to and spending on behalf of the Trump campaign.

Each of these maneuvers weakens the guardrails that have kept American elections secure and fair. And again, they may be just the beginning, given other election-related recommendations in Project 2025.

The plan also further advocates targeting public and private institutions like task forces and university researchers that study election lies and attempt to communicate accurate election information to the public. Project 2025 even suggests weaponizing civil rights laws to go after election officials, voting registration groups, and nonpartisan voter-friendly policies.

Fortunately, the pushback against at least some of these efforts already has a blueprint in the pushback against executive orders targeting other government functions. Dozens of lawsuits have already been filed in response to Trump’s executive orders. Public pressure campaigns also appear to have had some success, with leaders in the Trump administration reversing course on policy decisions like the federal funding freeze. Any efforts by the Trump administration to use the Department of Justice or the Federal Communications Commission—as was suggested by Project 2025—to prevent Americans from voting, or exercising their First Amendment rights to tell the truth about elections, can likewise be fought in courts of law and public opinion”.

 

 

Republicans have declared War on Voting, using Voter Obstruction tactics, Voter Purges, decreasing Drop Boxes, decreasing the days and hours people can vote, passed laws making it a Crime to give Food or Water to people having the wait in long lines they’re responsible for causing, to discourage and punish people in urban areas who they feel are most likely to vote for Democrats, from voting.

Professor Bernick stated that Trump is a constitutionally illegitimate president. Congressional Democrats should hold a press conference explaining why Trump is a constitutionally illegitimate president and initiate an Amnesty Vote to remove Trump from office. To date, Democrats have ignored his advise.

OPINION: Since Trump is a constitutionally illegitimate president, his being president should be challenged in court,  every action he’s taken and actions taken by those he appointed should be challenged, and and every person he appointed should be challenged to have removed and actions un-done.

Evidence that Trump obtained his presidency by illegal and unscrupulous means further bolsters his lack of authority and legitimacy.

The Atlantic devoted an entire issue to the authoritarian horrors in store for America “If Trump Wins.” Every four years or so, Gallup asks Americans ages 15 and up: “Ideally, if you had the opportunity, would you like to move PERMANENTLY to another country?” At the end of George W. Bush’s presidency, the number responding “yes” was 11%. During Barack Obama’s tenure, it was 10%. During Trump’s presidency, it hit 16%. That’s some 40 million Americans who wanted to leave their country behind, for good.

Young people are even more likely to be hopeful expats. Among those under 30, 24% wanted to leave America at the close of Bush’s tenure, 18% during Obama’s, and 30% during Trump’s. As with all things Trump, there was a sharp gender divide: Only 20% of young men wanted to flee America, compared to a whopping 40% of young women.

Americans already living overseas are bracing for a wave of new expats. “There will be more people moving abroad after the election if it is Trump,” said Doris Speer, the president of the Association of Americans Resident Overseas, a nonpartisan group based in Paris.

Stressing that she was expressing her own views, not those of her organization, Speer emphasized that Trump is far from the only reason Americans are eyeing the exits. That’s true: Housing prices in America are high, remote work is allowing for unprecedented mobility, and global respect for the United States has been eroding for decades, dating back to the war in Iraq. Fewer and fewer Americans, pollsters have found, believe “the American Dream — that if you work hard you’ll get ahead — still holds true.” In 2012, it was 53%. By October 2023, it was down to 36%.

Late last year, my wife and I closed on a deal for an apartment in a hilltop town in Umbria. Soon after, I posted a question for my fellow participants in a Facebook group called Expats in Italy: “Is it just my imagination, but is there an uptick in Americans, in particular, looking to purchase property in Italy?” As the responses poured in, many of them sounded a distinct thematic note.

Granted, my unscientific survey was limited to a self-selected group of people with a declared fancy for one particular foreign country renowned for its artistic and cultural treasures, scrumptious cuisine, and exquisite landscapes. Still, it was striking that the specter of Donald Trump — a looming shadow I hadn’t even mentioned in my question — was on so many minds.

For those casting a worried eye abroad, the economic draw is not insignificant. When I was looking to buy an apartment in Umbria, in central Italy, I found that prices for turnkey places were about a third of the price of condos in Sedona, Arizona. Property taxes and homeowners insurance are also relatively modest in Italy. Gas is more expensive, but the mouthwatering fare at local restaurants — wild-boar ragù, anyone? — is way cheaper. Politics aside, the dollars-and-cents pull to leave America is strong.

But a rising tide of conservatism at home is clearly driving more Americans to consider a move abroad. The Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade — one of Trump’s signature accomplishments — has aroused widespread anger and discontent. But while America is cracking down on reproductive rights, Europe is expanding them. Trump and his cronies have openly stated they intend to “terminate rules, regulations & articles, even those in the Constitution”, invoke the “Insurrection Act” & declare “Martial Law” to Quash Protests, use “Shock Troops” to take over the government, replace 50,000 Federal Employees with Trump loyalists, eliminate Freedom of Speech and shut down media outlets which have been critical of him. Trump believes a President should have absolute “Presidential Immunity” to the extent he could order the executions of a political opponent and be immune to criminal prosecution. He’s promised to ‘root out’ those who he thinks are ‘communists, marxists and ‘the radical left’. This means anyone who opposes him.

 

Trump & his cronies have made it clear they intend to turn the Presidency into a Presidential Dictatorship using plans outlined in ‘Project 2025’, plus seek retribution against political enemies, eliminate Freedom of Speech and shut down news outlets which are critical of him.

 

In an interview with Andy Borowitz from The New Yorker on May 9, 2018, Trump Stated about the United States Constitution; “I’ve seen a lot of bad deals in my life, but this Constitution is a total mess. We need to tear it up and start over. The first thing we do when we pull out of the Constitution is get rid of two of those branches. He also called the First Amendment “something that really has to go. No one in his right mind would put something like that in a Constitution. Russia doesn’t have it. North Korea doesn’t have it. All the best countries don’t have it.”

 

Trump stated regarding North Korea’s brutal dictator Kim Jong Un… “He’s the head of a country and he’s the strong head. Don’t let anyone think anything different. He speaks and his people sit up at attention. I want my people to do the same.”

 

On Veterans Day, November 11, 2023 Trump stated; ”We pledge to you that we will root out the communists, Marxists, fascists and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country that lie and steal and cheat on elections”. 

In response to outrage over Trump’s ‘vermin’ comment, his campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung stated about Trump opponents; “their entire existence will be crushed when President Trump returns to the White House.”

 

On November 29 2023, Trump stated that he wants the ‘Federal Government to come down Hard on MSNBC’ for its criticism of him.

 

On March 28, 2024 Steve Bannon stated: “After we’ve won, the Accountability Project’s going to start and it’s going to be thorough this time. It’s going to be they’re going to be in prison”.

On Dec 31, 2023 ABC News’ Jonathan Karl interviewed three former Trump White House staffers who stated a 2nd Trump term would be ‘the end of American democracy as we know it’.

 

Trump supporter Mike Davis stated he’d pardon all of the January 6 rioters, toss opponents in “the gulag” and ‘caging migrant kids would be “glorious’.

 

Kash Patel, who Trump ‘picked’ to be his FBI Director to carry out a lawless, gangster style campaign of revenge against Trump’s enemies who’s only crimes were holding him accountable for his conduct stated; “We will go out and find the conspirators, not just in government but in the media. Yes, we’re going to come after the people in the media who lied about American citizens, who helped Joe Biden rig presidential elections — we’re going to come after you”.

 

On May 23rd, 2024, Former Trump White House advisor Steve Bannon stated: “We mock your fear, we want your fear. We are going to hold everyone who opposes Trump responsible”

These are OUTRAGEOUS threats reminiscent of 1930’s Nazi terrorists which our government did nothing about. Trump and those in his ‘administration’ have made it clear; they plan on engaging in a reign of LAWLESSNESS and TERROR, where dissenters are arrested, locked up and executed.

Based on all of the above, PLUS the insanity we’ve seen since Trump took office,  it’s clear that the United States is becoming a LAWLESS, Unlivable, Oppressive, Restrictive, Anti-democratic Fascist, Authoritarian HELL HOLE where United States Citizens are being victimized, people are being snatched off the streets and sent to prison camps with no due process and Constitutional Rights are being violated.

 

UNITED STATED GOVERNMENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR TRUMP BEING IN THE WHITE HOUSE

The U.S. Government is responsible due to the Electoral College which should have been eliminated years ago which made Trump President after he got the least votes in 2016. This is why we have Radial Right Wing Judges appointed by losers of the popular vote from Bush & Trump, who both received less votes than their Democrat opponents. After inciting riots to overturn the 2020 election, Trump should have immediately been arrested and jailed. There’s NO WAY he should have been allowed to run for President again.
